Tanzania 2025 Fundraising

The cost of the Montana-Tanzania Exchange should not be a reason why a player should not be granted the opportunity to be a part of the Montana-Tanzania Exchange!

Fundraising will be used to both raise money for the Montana Exchange players and also for the New Vision Sports Club in Arusha, TZ. Once we have a final attendance list, we will form a fundraising committee of both parents and players. The fundraising committee will be tasked with coming up with different fundraising ideas and going to local businesses and asking for donations. These donations can be monetary donations or donations we can raffle off to help raise money. In the past, some of the raffle items have included fly rods, guided fishing trips, gift baskets, gift cards, etc. This year we have many more players from multiple communities across the state (YAY!!!) and can hopefully raise even more funds than we have before.

There are multiple ways that the player can help raise funds individually. Any of the money you raise this way will go directly towards the fees of the player.

1. Working the Montana Futbol Foundation Annual Futsal Tournament in Bozeman each spring. The Foundation pays players to work this tournament. 

2. GoFundMe accounts: In the past players have raised anywhere from a couple hundred to over one thousand dollars this way. There is a way to have these funds go directly to the Foundation and then contributors can have their contribution as tax deductible (the Foundation is a non-profit and all costs besides the Safari are tax deductible).

3. Have the player attend a referee clinic before the spring season and sign up to ref local soccer games. The State and local clubs are ALWAYS looking for more referees so this is a way to help out the local soccer communities, help kids build a resume (first job for some), and help cover the costs of the Exchange! 

For New Vision Sports Club and for the trip itself, we hope to raise over $15,000 minimum! The funds will be broken up as follows: 

• New Vision Operations $1,000 to $6,000

• Pitch/ Facility Improvements $500 to $1,000

• Soccer Equipment $6,000 to $16,000

• Fitness Training Equipment $200

• Personal Items (Hygienic, Toys, etc.) $200 to $500

• School Supplies $500 to $1,000

• Athletic Training $200 to $400

• Tournament Costs $3,000

• Packing Materials for Donations $200 to $400

• Ground Money/ Taxes upon Entry $3,000

• Snacks while we are there $500
